Until further notice BA has halted all flights from the UK.

BA announced: “I aint getting on no god damn plane you crazy fool!”

Well Belverdere, I must say, I am currently gorged on this week filled with numerous happenings!! Well after the weekend it was nice to go back to some sort of normal….ish.

Monday I went Salsa dancing in Shrewsbury instead of Telford, at the recommendation of Steve, simply becuase according to the dancing king, I am somewhere inbetween Beginner and Intermidiate and becuase things were getting picked up on which it turns out i have been doing wrong all this time, he suggested an extra class.

And it was a lot easier than in Telford, i quite enjoyed it, but I am still lost on being the lead in the dance. It scares me half to death!!

Tuesday, saw natalie again for more humour and converstation. Took her to the Armory which is a lovely resturant in shrewsbury and we had a lot of fun!

Wednesday, I went speed dating for the first time in 4 years, at the request of Matt, who sold it as “It’s really enjoyable and the very least you get from it is a good night out and an excuse to engage with more ladies than you can shake a stick at (and they can’t run away!)” How could I say no? I didn’t have to use my tranquliser darts as usual LOL!

At first glance I thought, how old are these people?!?!?! AGH! But then again all of them were great fun to chat with, I ended up being very relaxed and coming across as taking the p**s out of the whole thing, which bizzarely seems to made me more appealing! There was two very nice ladies, Katy and Sarah, who are mature students and very nice indeed, we find out later today what our matches were for possible shennigans later!! Oh the excitement! You could bottle it right now! LOL being honest it will be like before where nothing happens! That would not a total bad thing atm!!!

Now as promised, The story that is becoming the stuff of legend with some people out there in the world. Now of course some of you will take all this with a pinch of salt and quite right, as it is bias on my part. Before i do start from the point where this all began, let me bring you all up to speed with events beforehand:

I had been going out with Sian, a 19 year old woman who lived in sunny wales, we met on a local “Gallen Walk”, that’s country pub crawl to everyone else! It went fine, we all had a laugh and went our separate ways afterward. I received a text from her the next day, as it transpired Sian had got my number from another friend Ruth. We texted a while but after a few attempts nothing came of it, then out of the blue in november 05, i recieved a text saying “yes i would like to go out with you”. We went to the cinema, and had a good night, and things progressed from there.

It had been going very well i thought, we seemed to get on really well, love was in the air, and we couldn’t stay away from each other; I know it’s the usual sick stuff, i heard someone put their finger down their throut then, but hey it’s part of the story!

And here is where it all starts:

Then she went away to South Africa for 12 weeks on a Sports training stint with kids. It transpires now it began around then, but possibly for a long time before. I found this all out one week after Sian had came back from SA. She had seemed “off” somehow, that something was wrong from the sunday i saw her. She came to Oswestry on the Friday night, and we basically spent the night watching some TV and off to bed. but it was there when i had persisted in asking what was wrong, that she revealed the truth.

It turns out that 4 weeks into being in South Africa, she was going to talk to someone here in the UK about how she felt about him; James, who was one of our friends, KT’s ex, which again turns out there is some history. To be short, sian promised nothing would happen to KT. The tragic twist in that, is that a week later He died in his Sleep. Which thinking about it now explains the phone call where Sian wanted to come back home and was hugely upset. The other excuses at the time were “I am lost in life and want to see what other people are like.”

Naturally I jumped for joy at this point and threw a party….well i got up, and went downstairs made a cup of tea, and watched Blade: The series. Not the standard reaction i admit, i was shocked. It seems that the last few months was a lie, and i was the guy who won by default.

After that we spoke via MSN and texted a bit, Ruth had texted straight away when she heard on the saturday while i was watching Lesley garrett in Shrewsbury, which at first glance looked suspious. She said wanna talk but her phone is always broke, which defeats the object.

To sian, I being my usaul flirty self, and it seemed quite normal. I was coming to terms privately, well sort of, it was a hell of a explaination and i must confess at that point i hoped another opptunity would come along in time, but only when sian had sorted herself and and frankly grew up a bit. Don’t get me wrong, I have the mental capacity of a 5 year old, and possibly one if the worst examples of humanity, lol, but this took the biscuits.

I had started to see other people, including a very attractive 33 year old Russian woman, name of Natalie, it started out to be as what sian said, to see what other people are like and the fact that friends at work. Others helped by suggesting why don’t you meet this woman, she’s a friend etc , all being helpful and supportive,(you know who you are people, I could write a list later!!) and I was getting happy again properly.

On the Saturday after seeing England winning aganist Pakistan in the cricket, I recieved a text saying “Im so sorry, sweet justice I suppose that I made a mistake and am finding it impossible to move on. I cant stop thinking of you” This was a shock to say the least. I didn’t reply, and then Monday had rolled around, and she just happened to be on MSN, as well as others (Kelly!!) so i asked for an explaination of the text and to be to the point: She still has feelings for me, and tried to move on but couldn’t.

But what was being said, sparked something I didn’t expect, Both humour and Anger at the same time. Some of what was being typed was ridiclous at best and complete b*******ks at worst. i kept asking questions and she was struggling to answer them at times. She said about family problems, using the smypathy vote and the way i was feeling then, it was a cheap shot. Though what pushed it over the top was when she was looking to GOD for guidence. Jackpot!! Instant thought of she’s f**ked in the head! I kept saying please hold as I couldn’t contain myself with both rage of how absurd this was and sheer laughter. I could not help myself. We both signed off until friday.

Friday turned out to be unconfortable though with my award-winning performance skills you would never know. I was as boystrous and funny as usual and even sang Losing My Religon on the Karoake. Quite well by all accounts and with an accent too! I told everyone about the fact that i was seeing other people now, mainly as a result of being asked what i was up to. This did satisfy me to a little extent.

Dave (Dave who lives in near mold now, not the other in Manc) basically said fair play to me. He was glad I wasn’t being mopy. Ruth talked me, and the way it came accross, i was the bad guy, and I didn’t consider other people’s faults and feelings, and guilt tripping me quite well. Sian and I didn’t really speak the whole night I was annoyed to say the least. Then when i got home I had yet another conversation with Sian on MSN, i checked the ol mail and saw she was there. She was upset that i didn’t seem to care and it turns out there was no real excuse as why this has all happened. (There is more but i will edit this later)

Sunday i got texts from KT, again asking why i was being nasty, and sian misses me etc, I just had enough at that point. It appears that if it carried on, i would have a gang on at me about this whole debarcle, so i curtailed it. I said this was as bad as what sian did. and I was hurt becuase i was hurt like all the others. KT did retreat on this so i cannot condemn her. I suspect she doesn’t know the whole truth, which if she read this blog post, she would and god knows what would happen.

it seems tactics like using the age old “Guilt Trip” Tactics, trying to reverse the situation, and make me the bad guy has only furthered my resolve to continue on this current path. If i am to be the bad guy, for putting myself first before the woman who wanted to confess her feelings to someone else before he snuffed it, and therefore it appears i was second choice for over 2 months with also being lost and wanted to see what other people were like, so be it. I have been the fool in the past as far as letting women do what they want. Finally after this, I have drawn a line in the metaphorical sand and i will say this now: It will take an awful lot on Sian’s part to prove she is stable. And she in part has friends to thank for this.

Here’s where the story ends. for the moment….

Yep just a quick note, I have signed on the doted line for Fujitsu (part of the Evil Takazuki Corporation! Oh yes, I have to explain, i have to explain, i have had this theory that there was a big underground Japanise corporation that runs the world, and the evil looking Japanise boss guy from Robocop heads it all up)

The area i will move into is NTSM, server management to you and me, and it is a definate step up in the world as it does mean no more desktop duties (which i have never minded being truthful, my time in DTS has been brilliant and the guys there bar one, have been a great laugh) The downer is no extra money for the time being, which was a let down, but the main bonuses are I finally get first hand experience of Server environments and up to date ones at long last (WOO No more NT in about a year!!) and I get to continue my Foundation Degree in Computing. All in all, something to look forward to.

Hello campers, it is I, Paul hughes Space adventurer with another blog update at long last, My appolgies for it being so long inbetween updates, however As I will expain it has been a hetic few days. What’s worse, is that the promised mini saga is now longer, and I will post about the whole tragic affair, those who know me will know some of the story already, but for others, eastenders has got nothing on me atm! LOL!

Thursday was Salsa Dancing Night at Joshua’s in Telford: Now before anyone shoots me down for being a poof, let me tell you something right now, which for some of you will be a slice of fried gold: This is an untapped resource for lovley ladies, who WANT to dance with you and of course Salsa involves close contact, which you can imagine is a boon for a pervert like me! Of course you still get the Jabba the hutts and the jolly green giants, but the chance to dance with gorgoues women can not be taken lightly!!

Friday was “Mini-Saga” Night which will be explained in another post, as it is quite long winded and some of it you would not believe. Even I don’t and I am in the thick of it…..

Saturday, I went to Alton Towers with friends from DTS (that’s Desktop Services btw) and I must say it was a fantastic day out. The last time i was there was when I was on “Time-Out” at School, glyn mate, you should remember that!! Anyhoo, we set off from telford at half 8, got to the Towers at around half 10, where i did something I have never done before: been on a rollarcoster that goes upside down! I have always had a fear at the back of my head, being silly, that I would fall out of the rollarcoster when we went upside down!!

The one that broke me in was Nemesis, and my fear turned into all out panic!! but we moved with such force that you stayed exactly where you were in your seat! It was increadible and i really enjoyed it though my stomuch didn’t agree with me! After that we all went on AIR, the Pirate Ship thing and the Haunted House, which they seem to have turned into House of the dead, where you now shoot the dead things as you go around! Quite cool though i got the lowest score I made for that though on House of the Dead 4 arcade game, which i jumped for geeky joy at when i saw it. DOH!

But I also achieved something else I had never done before: I threw up on the water rapids!! the rides before had not agreed with my breakfast and the rocking of the water, on one of the tamest rides in Alton towers had sent me over the top. I managed to just send it overboard, yes I was still in the boat at the time with everyone else! Afterwards though I was fine, so carried on.

Rita, Queen of Speed, was fantastic, 0-60 in about 3 seconds, and we screamed with delight all the way around, though i must admit it was over too quick (cue fonzi catchphrase). Other highlights of the day include, being able to push in front of people for free thanks to Dave Lawrence (DTS guy with one arm), being annoyed about HEX, when Middleton kept on and on about I will be sick again and it goes upside down etc, whereas in fact in the end, the walls moved one way and the seats rocked back and forth. It was an optacal illision, and half way through i asked “Is that it?!?!”. We also stopped at the Hogs Head pub for a Pint and funky chips, all fooled the guessing guy (he got my weight wrong hahaha the gym paying off, along with my heavy ass jeans and pockets full of crap!)

We went home about 6 and I spent the rest of the weekend being very lazy, watching episodes of the practice, sandwiching in episodes of “Everybody Loves Raymond”, also got more earache in the Mini-Saga, and finally after 4 weeks, cut the grass in the front garden. HOORAY!!

Well here Is my first entry on a blog in quite a long time as it goes. At the great kindness of my friend, Mr Tebbutt, i now have a small place on the internet to make silly little comments about what is happening in life, and other things besides.

Well as i write this it is 12:30am on Wednesday 2nd August 2006. Coming up in the blog will be things work-related, the old Love life (of which there is a possible mini saga to be released, as soon as i know how i will end it!! LOL) and of course things i find funny.

All in all, i hope to add a fair amount soon.
