I believe you are taking the Mr. Potato Head's out of context, after all, would people be truly scared of a giant potato in a black crash helmet with an asthma problem? I think Star Wars would slightly different if made with potatoes. Would it be such a mash hit as the orginals were? But surely by that very arguement, the Darth Tater Mr. Potato Head wouldn’t be able to terrorise the universe as no-one had taken him out of the box.
